The video caused horror in the hearts of parents after it was circulated through social networking sites
After the pioneers of social networking sites circulated a video of drugging two girls inside an elevator in Egypt and kidnapping them by two men, the Egyptian Ministry of Interior ended the controversy over that video, which caused horror among parents.
The Ministry of Interior revealed in a statement issued on Wednesday evening that the man who appears in the video is the father of the two girls, and he is separated from their mother, who reported the abduction incident. She also confirmed that he left the country with one of his daughters of her own free will.
The statement read: "as part of the efforts of the Ministry of Interior agencies to uncover the circumstances of a video clip circulated on social networking sites showing two people taking two children out of an elevator after they were drugged .. The examination revealed that on December 13, the mother of the two children (a resident of the Nasr City third police department in Cairo) filed a complaint to the department, including that her ex-husband (an accountant in one of the countries) and accompanied by two others took one of their two children without her desire, and asked to prove this without going into any other details, claiming that there were family disputes between them, as they were staying with their father after their separation until 2022, and what is the benefit of that".
The interior ministry statement continued:"by conducting investigations, it was found that the father of the two children used two people to commit the incident as shown in the video, and that he left the country on the same date of the incident accompanied his daughter through the Cairo air port of one of the countries of her own free will and desire, as evidenced by security surveillance cameras.
The ministry's statement explained:"after the legalization of the procedures, it was possible to arrest the two persons, one of whom appeared in the video with the father of the two girls, and the second the driver of the car used to commit the incident, and by discussing them, they confessed to committing the incident as indicated by agreement with the father of the two girls in exchange for a sum of money, legal actions were taken, and the public prosecution took over the investigation".
